Infrastructure Analyst

Infrastructure Analyst – London - £35k-£45k

Peracto’s client, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in London, is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Analyst to join their talented team.

As an Infrastructure Analyst the successful candidate can expect to work both onsite and remotely to offer support to users, including assistance with users PCs, laptops, phones and any video conferencing or audio/visual equipment needed for internal or client facing meetings. The role will also entail proactive monitoring and maintenance of the companies server, storage, telephony and network infrastructure as well as liaising with internal escalation teams, in-house developers and 3rd party vendors to ensure all issues are followed up to a timely and satisfactory resolution. Knowledge and Skills Required:

• 1-5 years’ experience within a support role.
• Experience using Active Directory for user administration tasks.
• Must be proficient in the management of Windows (7 - 2012 R2) and Office 2010 as a minimum and have experience in supporting a Microsoft desktop and server environment.
• Basic understanding of WAN/LAN management concepts.
• Must have desktop support skills.
• Desirable skills:
o Group Policy management.
o Day-to-day management of a VMware server environment.
o Experience of basic configuration tasks in Cisco Call Manager.
o Knowledge of Microsoft server technologies (Exchange, SQL Server, System Centre Configuration Manager, Sharepoint).
o Scripting (Powershell, Windows Shell Scripting).
o Familiar with Symantec Backup Exec or Enterprise Vault.
o Having experience with or being certified in Cisco would be a plus.

• Good problem and diagnostic skills.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
