Subject Matter Expert in Collateral Management and SBL (Securities Borrowing and Lending) Domain – London – £80k-£120k + Package

Peracto’s exclusive client, a high performance global collateral management solution, are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert in Collateral Management and SBL Domain to join their talented and exciting team.

Based primarily in London this role offers the chance for an enthusiastic Subject Matter Expert to join a global team working in the fast evolving domain of Collateral Management. The successful candidate with have the responsibility to drive the product strategy of this agile solution, and also translate market requirements into the functional development of the product. Working hand in hand with sales, marketing and the end user implementation team you will be a key figure in the definition and evolution of the product.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• 2:1 degree from a top university plus a Master in a finance field. A risk management qualification (CFA, CQF, FRM) would be desirable but not essential.
• Must have experience working as either a Business Analyst or Product Manager/Owner within a tier 1 environment or high level vendor.
• Strong knowledge of IT and preferably some work with IT departments within collateral management
• Exposure to the technology landscape with collateral management or SBL lending is a must.
• Strong knowledge of technology in particular the software development life cycle.
• Understanding and appreciation of collateral and the regulatory elements impacting collateral management and SBL

The Ideal Candidate:

• Must be a self-starter who can establish immediate credibility with the client side opinion formers and decision makers.
• Comfortable and enthusiastic about operating as part of a team working on large, complex projects that have very high capital values.
• Mathematically competent and will be able to demonstrate deep domain expertise in SBL, bilateral and cleared over the counter derivatives, repo and listed derivative products from a collateral management perspective.
• Although primarily based in London there will be a need a desire to travel outside the UK to visit clients.
• As this is a global team the candidate will need to be able communicate with a range of colleagues and clients across multiple locations.
• Excellent client facing skills and the ability to provide decision support input to individuals involved in the procurement process, and provide product support to the implementation teams.
• Political awareness and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy is also valued.
