Application Support Analyst

Application Support Analyst | London – £40k-£50k | Lucrative Bonus

Peracto’s exclusive client, a Top Global Market-Leading Multi-Strategy and Technology Driven Hedge Fund, is seeking an exceptional Application Support Analyst to join their high calibre and vibrant team for their prestigious HQ in London.

The role will give a talented individual the opportunity to work with some of the brightest individuals from around the world within their in-house Development team. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in the business, from monitoring key applications and will have to take action within failure scenarios involved around electronic trading and external data feeds. You will be working with SQL, which will be a key part of the role, both in querying system failures as well as supporting a number of other .NET systems. There will also be the opportunity, on occasion, to get involved in development and/or integration projects, which will run through the full SDLC, these will include design, coding and testing.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with sound academics from a top institution to grow a flourish in a career on the buy-side working with internal/external stakeholders in various departments with exceptional career progression working with the latest in cutting edge technology at a leading Hedge Fund in the technology team.

Knowledge and Skills (Essential):

• Degree from a Premier or Russell Group university. (This is essential and others need not apply).
• 6 months – 3 years’ experience with a basic working knowledge of SQL (essential).
• A bright intellectual with the ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues clearly.
• Ability to think through problems logically and solve these independently on your own initiative with an analytical mind-set.
• Ability to understand the business critically of an issue and prioritise it accordingly while working in the fast changing environment.

The Ideal Candidate (Desirable):

• Previous work experience within an IT development or 2nd/3rd line environment (finance environment not essential).
• Strong interest in technology.
